Bakugan Battle Brawlers started off as a Japanese action anime, or cartoon, in 2007. Since then it has exploded in popularity with young kids and is televised all over the world. As the popularity of Bakugan increased Sega Toys and Spin Master toys released a game based on the television series that featured metallic battle cards and magnetic spring-loaded characters from the series, that when rolled over a matching card pop open. These toys have been and still are a huge hit, as is the television series, which is as popular as ever.
Bakugan tells the story of mysterious cards that suddenly fall from the sky, as children find these, a game is created using them. From these strange cards come the Bakugan marbles that are used in the game, but while the children are playing this game they are unaware that an alternate world exists and due to a terrible Bakugan monster, these creatures have been released into earth. The series focuses on a group calling themselves the Battle Brawlers who consist of Dan, Runo, Shun, Julie, Alice, Joe and Marucho.
The Bakugan Battle Brawlers world has now expanded into video games and is available on all major game consoles, including the X-Box 360 and the PS3. In the video game edition of the game, players start off as Battle Brawlers novices and have to work their way up the ranks through battles with other brawlers of increasing difficulty, all the while trying to be the number one Battle Brawler. This is a one-player game by Activision, who have been a major game developer since 1979. In this card battle game, players will be able to create and customise their own players each with their own qualities and lead them to Battle Brawler greatness. There are 16 characters to choose from and 40 Bakugan, this includes 4 unique characters and 2 unique Bakugan that are only available in this video game. You can also play as the main character of the series, Dan, in an epic battle to save Earth and Vestroia from the evil forces that threaten to destroy them. Players will be able to throw their Bakugan cards onto the arena and then their Bakugan balls and when to Bakugan land on the same card, they become enormous creature who will fight it out until one is victorious.
